Wicked Minds shared the stage for a long time, and their sound is rooted in the tradition of the '70s hard rock. And then come into play memories varied as a Voodoo Child, a legendary music store, at the time owned by the guitarist Lucio, in which she stepped when fugava from school and not until a few nights at the Temple Of The Dog. Then when I had the opportunity to listen to "From The Purple Skies", their latest work universally recognized as a masterpiece of the genre, I was obviously fascinated by their skills and their overall maturity Art. If you add everything that was played at home, you know that I could never pass up the opportunity to interview them. Here then is the full band that tells its stylistic evolution, from the beginnings thrash metal, through the present day, until the future plans. In the words of JC (lead and backing vocals), Lucio Calegari (guitars, lead and backing vocals), Enrico Garilli (bass), Paolo "Apollo" Negri (keyboards) and Andrea Concarotti (drums), representing the Wicked Minds largely complete. THE DAY GOT THE TIME MACHINE BROKEN

Wicked Minds From the cosmic to Germany (Version Printable )
Since the time machine was still hired active, Paolo "Apollo" Negri and Lucio Calegari of Wicked Minds have decided to make another leap time and space. 70s hard rock, very solid and just as progressive, the band-mother, the two well-designed to target the spacecraft to the cosmic Germany: "The Day That got broken Time Machine" is a real dive in the era Teutonic. Open wide the doors of the cosmos and bring guitars and keyboards (All strictly vintage analog, digital vade retro ...), the duo has concocted an album of experimentation sonora.Da considered more of a divertissement than a stable project, the album is a journey in search of sounds for electric guitar (Gibson ) and keyboards (Arp, Solina, Rhodes, Hohner etc.) exploited in an intelligent way within 48 minutes. Sounds disturbing, dreamlike, as if the duo had literally stuck their hands between valves and various gadgets, pulling out the essence of sound, a bit 'like the early Tangerine Dream and Ash Ra Tempel, among other things, the registration was live in the studio, no overdubs of any sort, just to witness the exact opposite of the speech Wicked Minds. Where the WM are majestic in their powerful hard rock Lucio and Apollo are minimal and fluctuating, visionary and lysergic. In this game of opposites, however, is the limit of the album, which is intended only to fans of the band, or close to the curious fans of the sound research. In any case, a good baptism for the new label All-Up-Low, dedicated to the unforgettable art krauta.

Surenos Against Crips
From the purple skies review by Wojciech Kapała
Uriah Heep - "Easy Livin 'album ... Which it is ...? Aaa, "Demons And Wizzards. So we are home. The Italians from Wicked Minds bet on classic. The title song of “From The Purple Skies” reminds in fact this famous hit of an old Uriah (Thom was looking in the music for some similarities to SBB – probably in elbow!) similarities to Uriah Heep are unquestionable – Apollo Negri plays a bit like Hensley, J.C sings like (and looks like) David Byron, but they are directed by progressive rock and the whole thing has got a climate similar to, for example, famous debut of Biglietto Per L’Inferno – that is an Italian Uriah Heep, in heavy-progressive version, passed through Italian classic of prog-rock from the early seventies. Sound and arrangement from before 35 years, image as well, equipment – of course. Old fashioned? Eee, I don’t know, I like such things. But it’s longer than records from that days – it has got over 80 minutes, while masterpieces of the time weren’t even 40 minutes long.
What Italians from Wicked Minds play is very simple to verification – just as thirty and few years ago, the concrete melodies are a groundwork now. Are – then it’ll succeed. Are not – then the whole herd of Petruccies won’t help, you can’t make an album on solos only. When there are melodies, some sensible riffs (in case of Wicked Minds not really, but like you can hear in “Queen of Violet” it is helpful) then some solos will be invented. Especially, if there are some good musicians with imagination in band. Keyboardist and guitarist Lucio Calegari have many occasions to show their artistry. Most of the songs are 6-8 minutes long. So there is much time to show yourself, but without “overelaboration”. However at the end we have 18-minute suite “Return To Uranus” and musicians have a place to play much more. The rest also keeps a very high level, one of the best songs “Space Child” begins gently – violin(?) , flute, then it gains a rocky power, then again romantic guitar solo, again with flute in the background. “Queen of Violet” is also distinguishing, the hardest on an album, where Negri carouses nice on his hammonds. They also risked to record their version of “Gypsy” of Uriah Heep. And it wasn'ta good idea - They Did not manage to match the challenge ".
Fortunately it's the only give-away on the album.
Paolo, as I wrote: hard, vintage and goood!

Orange County Hospitals Pay For Plasma
ACEFALIA MUSICAL - Portugal
I'm not a base for shit, but I thought the debut of one of the best Wicked Minds 2004. Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and a good dose of great songs spread across nearly 80 (yes, eighty) minutes drive. Oh, and with cover of Pentagram and Uriah Heep. From the Purple Skies disc é outro eu Ficar Poderia Falando Faixa-a-Faixa, but losing Faustão não quero. Isso serious disaster um na minha life.

Gay Public Toilets In Ho Chi Minh
La Caja de Musica - ESP
goes without saying that this group, previously unknown to me, is not strictly a group symphonic, to me is pure hard rock album with some dyes symphonic seventies. Purists of the genre, abstain and pass the following message.
quintet is an Italian, a remarkable vocalist, singing in English, and where stresses, and how, their keyboardist, a marvel of virtuosity, always within the parameters of the genre hard, of course. Hammond, Mellotron, and a large analog spectrum, will delight fans of these sounds seventies. Guitarist line
also high, and the rhythm section complies with note. Sorry for not naming the line-up, no more data, but the album I downloaded from the internet has arrived, things that happen in our times ... Topics
long, 78 minutes total, with a 18-minute final cut, "Return to Uranus", full of passages to enjoy: acoustic guitars, flute, sweet moments, some poignant at the hands of a great song and keyboardist ... culmination of the disc,
not want to fool anyone, they sound a hard-rock 80% and 20% progressive type Uriah Heep (played the track "Gypsy") or Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash some of the "Argus" ... and some Proto-kaw, to cite a recent ... of the best I've heard this year.
For me, I put an 8 out of paper.
Greetings.

Tamil Invitation Matter
PROGGNOSIS - Canada
My first contact with Wicked Minds WAS With their excellent 2004 album From The Purple Skies (see my other review), an album That reactualised the sound of the great prog hard rock bands of the seventies like Uriah Heep and Deep Purple. Five years
That Before, Wicked Minds Had put out a CD (if I'm Their first not mistaken) called Return To Uranus. Compared to From The Purple Skies , the music on Return To Uranus is more psychedelic and experimental. Also noticable is the absence of keyboards. Because of that, I would say that Return To Uranus is less easily accessible than From The Purple Skies . Still the musicians great talents as composers and performers is very much in evidence on this album. It's quite a trip to listen to some of these tracks and the music surely merits a repeated listening.
The 2006 reedition of Return To Uranus is on LP and limited to 500 copies. This is certainly a collectors product and I will cherish my copy for the years to come. I can't wait to hear Wicked Minds new album that is due pretty soon. Cool stuff indeed.
